From Conflict to Deviance: To foster or not to foster Reciprocity?

The present work aims to theoretically analyze the effect of reciprocity in escalating process that could bring from a badly managed conflict deviant behaviors workplace. More detail, analysis unpacks micromechanisms lead rise interpersonal deviance up organizational one. paper adopts interpretative framework Social Exchange Theory investigate role negative behaviors. By considering as an individual orientation, it is interesting note people who have strong tendency reciprocate benefits may not same willingness harmful and vice versa. Applying this distinction analyses conflicting leads different conclusions about proposed conceptual model shows positive mitigating brings deviance. This finding suggests exploiting employees’ attitude reduce effects phenomena inside organization.
